I do not make a profit on p4p pins.
~More on Time and Labor~
Approximately $2 or $3 per pin will be designated towards the cost of my time and labor. The amount will depend on the project. I feel it is fair to include time and labor into my p4p pricing because I do not consider compensation for time and labor as profit. I believe all p4p makers deserve to be paid for their time and labor, and it is their right to charge for time and labor if they wish to do so.This does not mean my p4p pins will be graded. I will not be grading p4p pins other than taking a quick glance to make sure they are not Seconds grade. The time and energy it takes me to carefully grade greatly exceeds the amount I charge for my time and labor.
The money I receive for time and labor will also be designated towards any unforeseen mishaps (ex. lost/damaged mail, majorly flawed pins that I do not feel comfortable sending out, etc.). This is to ensure that I do not end up making a loss with my p4p projects. The cost of sending artist's copies will also come out of the amount I receive for time and labor.
I understand if you disagree with my choice to include my time and labor into the pricing because p4p projects have traditionally excluded the cost of time and labor. However, I ask that you please respect my decision to do so. Thank you!
